Tree Listening

I guarantee you then the words of wisdom you've been trying to form into a book. Find their voice and trust you are in the right place to be the instrument for the wisdom.

You keep forgetting my sweet thing that the true writing you so want to put to this page has to have your ego put aside. Yes, you really do have to disappear and let the messenger come out. You have a hugely strong ego that is still yes, I'm sorry, still bigger than life.

He's not bad, he's not good. Just in the way. You can lovingly ask him, reassure him, or whatever, that he gets to still have a huge role in your life, just not when you are trying to listen to the strength of writing voice. Let him know he can come back into your life for the rest of the day after the writing has had its say.

Good, he says ok, now get outta the way and let these fingers fly, telling the stories that make the angels cry, sweet by and by.

Thank you bright blue sky that is blowing the white cloud by.

Thank you gentle warm wind for the hope of spring that is back again.

Thank you sweet mother earth for the parents who gave me birth.

Thank you oh most generous provider for continuing to make my earthly burden lighter.

Thank you sweet water in cool ocean streams for never giving up believing you could always stay pure and clean for humanity.

Oh, and my most gracious teachers you awesome trees that wrap your branches around my young lost soul and have continued silently, but knowingly to show me which way to go.

Oh how I have trusted you in days gone by. Cried to you, leaned on you, admired your twists and knots and always, always you keep reaching, keep reaching for the stars.

So must you and I.

Some of you die, oh yes, but then you are covered with the most beautiful green moss that glistens with dew from the grand sun light. You give food to the insects that crawl the land. Yes, I would be a desperate child indeed if I had to live someplace without trees, will it continue when this human life is gone? I think there will always be someone.

Help me learn how to plant more trees where they are needed most. A tree in every yard.

Thank you, thank you most of all for giving us this paper to write on over and over again for over 30 years of human life you have willing said, "My child it is ok for you to write down all of your hopes and dreams on this paper made out of me and fellow trees.

We will continue to share this deep union, no longer feeling any guilt for being another writer who fills the page, who makes another book, who uses another tree for the paper that is needed to create the book to read.

Go visit a paper mill if you must to see what great trust and care goes into nature willingly laying out to be chosen to go to work for humanity today.

That might help you to trusting even more. Quit trying to learn without seeing or touching or listening. These steps cannot be skipped. Trees stand still and sway in the breeze. Listen.

Doubting Thomas wasn't a bad person or rejected because he wouldn't believe until he could see...He made it to the Savior's breast to be comforted just the same as you and me, we all have a different path, so let the soul come alive for the world to see.

We are all connected, we are proud of you, keep loving us trees. Hugging us is a breeze.

Letting go of the mystery of me, liking now what I see, letting it just come out naturally. It will become what it is supposed to be.

The real me is opinionated and accepts you don't have to agree with me. Has many shadow dancers that want the world to see a different type of mentality. What I say, what I do, what I be, is really just how I want to see and project the thoughts of me into reality.

Even if you do care what I think of you, I am letting go of what you think of me. Even if I am the only one, a completed book, is how to finish a project and go onto another one full of the creativity of the sun. So they say, what does that look like anyway? Don't ask so many questions, just for today.

Thanks again, wonderful Grandparents and ancestors. I'll never understand all you've been trying to teach me. I will continue to get better at listening. Thank you for never giving up on me. You are still speaking to me, I am trying to honor that path. We are not better than, just curious and walk a different trail.

Great Storyteller, what a legend you have laid for us to follow, we can stand proud now and forget to wallow. Birds come sing your ever sweet song, bring us joy, all day long.

Thanks, it is nice to be listened to, more important I am discovering, is the importance of listening to the messenger, in my case, nature, and people like you!

The act of gratitude that comes through as you thank the trees for giving us the paper on which to write...amazing. You are using ego and laying ego aside at the same time...the messenger is showing up and I know you hear him/her/them. Great hub. Outstanding message. Thank you for sharing.
